Coaching is a partnership. It’s a space just for you, where you can slow down, think out loud and get clear on what you really want.

What does that look like in practice? Coaching is led by you. You bring the goals, the questions, and the dreams. I bring my full attention, curiosity, and a few well-placed questions to help you see things in a new light. I won’t tell you what to do or hand you a cookie-cutter plan because you know your life better than anyone. You are the expert in your own life and you will be the one creating the life you want. There’s only one you in this world and the one-and-only-you is the only one who can do what you do. My job is to help you trust that and to walk beside you as you turn your ideas into action.

Coaching also looks forward. We won’t spend our time digging through the past, as therapy does or handing out expert advice, as a consultant would. Instead, we’ll focus on where you are now, where you want to be, and the next step that feels right.

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) describes coaching as a creative, thought-provoking partnership that helps people reach their personal and professional potential. Read the ICF’s definition here.

Is Coaching Right for You?

The people who thrive in coaching are the ones who are ready and willing, and that’s different from having it all figured out.

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Are curious about yourself and open to looking at things from a new angle

  • Want to take action, even small steps, between our sessions

  • Are ready to grow and willing to show up honestly

  • Welcome fresh perspectives and caring feedback

You don’t need to know exactly what you want or where to begin; being willing to start is enough.
